The NAMM Show is where it all begins. Where gear gets discovered, friends come together, and new ideas go global. XDB had an amazing experience at NAMM 2025, reconnecting with old friends and meeting new ones. During the extended NAMM 2025 weekend in Los Angeles, CA, XDB also performed at the renowned Whisky a Go-Go.
The week kicked off with a show at the Whisky a Go-Go featuring standout acts such as Dallas Perkins, Holy Mother, and headliner Westbound with Chas West. XDB took the stage and delivered an electrifying performance. The Whisky has been a staple of the Los Angeles music scene, guarding the West Hollywood Sunset Strip since it opened in 1964. This historic nightclub has hosted legendary rock ‘n’ roll names like The Doors, Janis Joplin, Iggy Pop, and Led Zeppelin. We found ourselves in West Hollywood, reading the band's name from the iconic marquee overlooking the Whisky's prime spot at the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Clark Street.

A discreet plaque to the left of the main entrance marks the venue's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction in 2006. Despite its fame, the beloved Whisky a Go-Go is surprisingly small, featuring an intimate chest-high stage that places the front row less than ten feet from the drummer. This close proximity fuels the energy, and XDB thrived on the audience's enthusiasm, returning it with a high-powered performance.
The band's set list included original songs like Under a Darkened Sky and Right Angles. They also performed The Letter, a reimagined version of the Box Tops' 60s hit, and concluded their set with their signature cover of Boys of Summer.

During the weekend, the band attended the four-day NAMM 2025 show at the Anaheim Convention Center. We felt like kids in a candy store, absorbing the sights and sounds, exploring all the new equipment, reconnecting with friends, and forming new connections. The show lasts four days for a reason — it's impossible to see the thousands of brands in just one day! It was amazing to see musicians like Nuno Bettencourt from Extreme, Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake, Dio), Rudy Sarzo, Andy Timmons, and many others either performing or simply hanging out.

Aside from performing at the Whisky, the week's highlight was attending the PRS private event celebrating Paul Reed Smith's 40th Anniversary in business. The celebration hosted 1,400 artists and music industry professionals at California's House of Blues, where we enjoyed an evening of performances by PRS's extensive roster of talent. The event was hosted by one of the greatest studio session guitarists of all time, Tim Pierce. Among the performers that night were Orianthi, Mark Lettieri, Herman Li, Paul Reed Smith himself, and, as a huge surprise, John Mayer!
The band would like to thank PRS artist Dallas Perkins for the invite and NStuff Music for their support!
