Rob Kane
Lead Vocals and Guitar
Hailing from the Youngstown, OH area, Kane was raised on the melodic hard rock of the 70s and 80s. Primarily a lead vocalist, he crafted his own distinctive, powerful, vibrato-rich, melodic vocal style, drawing inspiration from singers like Robert Plant, Ian Gillen, Don Dokken, Tony Harnell, and Michael Sweet. He attended Youngstown State University's Dana School of Music briefly, focusing on vocal performance and enhancing his music theory knowledge. Kane led several local bands, most notably Little Sister and Love and War.
Kane encountered Xander Demos and the XDB while performing with the exceptional guitarist Dallas Perkins, for whom XDB was the supporting band. A few years later, when XDB needed a new lead vocalist, Rob seized the opportunity, having enjoyed collaborating with the group and being impressed by their outstanding talent. The rest is history.
Besides singing, Kane also plays guitar and bass. Wayne would be proud, as the first song he learned was "Stairway to Heaven," meticulously picking out each note by ear. He is also the lead vocalist for the bands Apocalyptic Lovers (formerly Love and War) and Love In Chains.
Kane has a powerful and unique voice, raw emotional expression, and an electrifying stage presence. He conveys deep emotions through gritty screams, melodic crooning, or soaring high notes, and his charisma captivates audiences, leaving a lasting impression.
